Troy Joslin is a retired IT professional who is a current member of the HSR board and the Director of their annual HSR charity golf tournament. Troy’s talent resides in delivery of IT solutions and providing insight on evaluating opportunities that will help organizations continue to deliver on their mission. He provides invaluable guidance on the direction of the organization, and possess a unique ability to “get things done”. Troy has a BS in Computer Science and a Masters in Information Systems from the University of Maryland.
Troy is a Vietnam Veteran and a member of the VFW and American Legion. Troy served 8 years in the Air Force with 1 ½ of those at Bien Hoa AB, Vietnam as a communications specialist. At the end of his Vietnam tour Troy was sent to Wurtsmith AFB, Michigan, then the Pentagon and finally the National War College in Washington, DC where he traveled with the executive student body to almost every continent and country in the world over his 3 years there.
Upon leaving the Air Force Troy worked enjoyed a successful career in IT working for different organizations around the country. Ultimately Troy signed on with AARP where he looked after the information technology interests for several internal AARP groups until his retirement in January 2016.
Shortly after retirement Troy needed something that would leverage his experience and skills as well as have an impact on an urgent need in the U.S. His relationship with the CEO of HSR spawned into a great opportunity to serve on the HSR board as well as director for the annual charity golf tournament.
