We presented our approach to leveraging geospatial data analytics to identity individuals at high risk of Opioid abuse, diversion, and overdose at the July 2017 meeting of the Health Technology Forum: DC Chapter.

OGC 2

HSR is a member of the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC), the international body that sets standards for geospatial technology. We participate in the OGC’s Health Domain Working Group (DWG) that works to identify use cases, business, and technical requirements surrounding health related geospatial technology. The OGC is holding its Technical Committee meeting on June 27th in New Foundland, Canada and our CEO is presenting our work in leveraging geospatial technology to advance health in a Smart City. Luis Bermudez, who is the Executive Director for Innovation at the OGC and a member of our Board, is speaking on the OGC’ upcoming GeoHealth Pilot.

This Summit brings together experts in health IT and data analytics from leading healthcare organizations developing solutions to enhance patient experience and outcomes in a cost effective and value based manner.

Machine Learning & AI in Healthcare

Our CEO has the great privilege to serve as the Conference Chair for this event, Dr. Peruvemba will present our GeoHealth Dashboard, while Dr. Bermudez delivers a talk on Addressing Health Challenges Through Spatial Analytics Using Geospatial Open Standards.

The Conference fosters dialogue between the developers of Machine Learning & AI in Healthcare and the clinicians who will use that tech in patient care. Over 80 providers, insurers, medical devices manufacturers, as well as Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence technologists and data analysts will gather to discuss the latest development in the space and explore solutions to the challenges faced by the industry.

Belize National Cyber Security Symposium

This Belize National Cyber-Security Symposium as an important first-step towards the strengthening of Belize’s cyber defenses, safeguarding Internet users, and creating an environment in which digital-enabled innovation can thrive. our CEO will moderate a panel on the benefits of a national cybersecurity framework, as well as deliver a talk on cybersecurity and its importance to the healthcare industry and the overall economy.

Aging in America 2017

Over 3,000 attendees from across the nation and abroad attend the annual ASA Aging in America (AiA) Conference to learn, network and participate in the largest multidisciplinary event covering issues of aging and quality of life for older adults. We participation involved leading a discussion on the impact cannabis legalization is having on the elderly community and their caregivers – in terms of their healthcare and beyond.

The 2017 HIMSS Annual Conference & Exhibition brings together 40,000+ health IT professionals, clinicians, executives, and vendors from around the world for educational sessions, world-class speakers, cutting-edge health IT products demonstrations, and powerful networking. IEEE International Conference on Biomedical and Health Informatics 2017

This is the flagship conference for the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS) and the conference theme for 2017 was “Informatics for smart, precision and preventive medicine”.
Ajay presented his paper titled, “Addressing the Geographic and Socioeconomic Determinants of Population Health – How IT Solutions May Bridge the Gap” and Ram presented his titled, “The Maryland All-Payer System –Opportunities to develop IT solutions to improve quality, optimize financial performance, and monitor compliance”. Both our CEO’s and CMO’s papers were voted in the top 14% of all submitted papers.
